Premise/Plot: Darla makes a crazy decision to pick up a hitchhiker at night on the side of the highway, the musician is sexy and out of his right mind. Trevor never partied so hard in his life, to wake up 2000 miles from home and now in the company of a stranger... a sexy, tits like a pornstar stranger. Together they find themselves leaning on each other in more ways than one, will Trevor get home, and does he even want to go back?

Summary: Sweet jeezers! Two pages in and this foul-mouthed, trailer park female is making bad decisions ha! Ok for real though, Darla is a 22-year-old woman living with her diabetic mama in a trailer park in a small Ohio town. Trevor is a yuppie (rich kid) from the Boston area, who is going to college to be a lawyer and also a guitarist in a semi-popular band, Random Acts of Crazy. Darla finds Trevor walking down the highway wearing nothing but a guitar and a straw cowboy hat. She justifies picking him up, because where would he hid a weapon, he's naked, right? Without too many spoilers they actually form a bond of sorts. Darla with her inability to get out of this hell hole of a town, Trevor who just wants to get out from under his parent's thumbs, they actually form a this weirdly over the top sexual friendship. They openly lust for one another physically and emotionally. Enter Joe, Trevor's bestie and bandmate, who comes to retrieve Trevor and take him back to Boston. Joe is soon lured in by Darla's charms...which appear to be her oversized "heart-shaped ass" that begged to be groped. While the three of them are at the bar, Trevor is coxed into performing at open mic night, but before he goes up on stage he busts Darla and Joe in a heavy lip-lock...Ooo I'll let you read about that!!! There's hope for these three in what would be the most awkward poly relationship I can imagine, but that was not determined, there's a twist at the end I'm not going to spoil, but I got really pissed off for a couple pages at the male characters, well done by Julia Kent for throwing some spice in at the end making me question my feeling on the characters and their integrity.

Darla, just because you're apparently thirsty as hell, your offer to pick up this guy is definitely not out of the kindness of your heart. It did make me laugh a bit though as did much of the dialogue. There was a good bit of humor in the way they spoke to one another.
Quote: 'He kissed with his whole body, hands roaming through my hair, his tongue parting my lips and going on a search for something so deep in me I thought he'd never reach it and I would have to live in the ecstasy of being loved by his mouth forever.'
Hello Trevor, I feel like you're shoving your tongue so far down Darla's throat that she's choking. But hey man, way to get into it, you're clearly a real panty-dropper with your ocean blue eyes and rock hard abs. I'm sure being "loved" this early on is a farce, but hey she can dream, right?
Quote: 'What was Trevor doing, giving me a kiss like that? Bearing his soul to me with his lips, with his tongue, with fingertips that touched all the crying parts in me, all the....'
This was one of my favorite parts, she's realizing her heart is growing attached. It's a moment where she will have to decide to keep indulging her body at the possible expense of her heart or hope that by denying the chemistry she can keep it casual. Trevor is seemingly smitten, his lusty eyes are all but ravaging her body every chance they get!
Quote: 'All of this could be a joke we told months from now, a goofy story we embellished, making fun of the toothless rednecks .... one day ago I'd have done just that. Not now.'
Oh Joe you have a heart! This was the one and only time I liked Joe, the rest of the time I wanted to roll my eyes at him, slap him upside the head, or worse haha! But he served his purpose, and conflict is definitely what he brought to his hot and heavy read. Joe is a morsel by description, Darla will be more than licking her lips for him too.
There are a few more great quotes I highlighted, but I fear they reveal too much of the story. It's a spicy read, fast, easy....just like Darla! Ooof, okay that was a little harsh, but dang girl....you'll see what I'm talking about. Although this was categorized as 'New Age' Romance, I'm saying its more erotica. There's a good story here, but it's very lusty, and sex-driven before any real feelings developed. Notions of each other being than more than a good lay didn't really come to be until later.
